Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Ryan-Marie Design & Decor ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ryanmariedesigndecor.com or engage our interior design services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
When you submit a contact form, schedule a consultation, sign an agreement, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide information such as:
- Name, email address, phone number, and mailing or project address
- Project details, photos, and other materials you choose to share
- Estimated project investment range
- Communication history (emails, calls, meeting notes)
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we (or service providers acting on our behalf) may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information to operate the site, prevent abuse, and understand visitor patterns.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site secure (CSRF protection on forms), provide spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA), and measure traffic (Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide design services
- To prepare and deliver agreements, proposals, invoices, and project updates
- To maintain our internal client records and project history
- To communicate with you about your project and our services
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our legal interests
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide our services and operate our business, including with:
- Service providers who help us operate (e.g., website hosting, email delivery, electronic signature, payment processing, accounting). These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations and are limited to using your information to perform services for us.
- Vendors and trade partners directly involved in your project (such as fabric vendors, contractors, or installers), only as needed to fulfill the work you've engaged us to do.
- Government, legal, or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Connected Services
To run our business we connect a small number of trusted third-party platforms to our internal client management system. When you become a client, some of your information may be passed to or read from these services. We do not control these providers and their own privacy policies govern how they handle your data.
QuickBooks Online (Intuit Inc.)
We use Intuit's QuickBooks Online ("QBO") for accounting, invoicing, and payment processing. When connected, our system uses the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope to:
- Read customer, invoice, and payment records associated with your account in QBO so we can display them inside our internal CRM. We read these records live from Intuit each time they're displayed rather than caching them in our database.
- Create invoices on your behalf when we bill you for design services or goods.
- Record payments you make so account balances stay accurate.
Your data inside QBO is governed by Intuit's Privacy Statement. Authentication tokens that allow our CRM to talk to QBO on our behalf are stored encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Access can be revoked at any time either by us (Settings → Disconnect QuickBooks) or by you directly in your Intuit account settings. Once disconnected, our CRM can no longer read or write to QBO; records that already exist in QBO are unaffected.
Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Corp.)
We use Microsoft 365 to send email to clients and to match incoming messages to the right client record. When a staff member connects their own Microsoft 365 mailbox, our CRM uses the Mail.Read and Mail.Send Graph API scopes to read recent inbox messages (so we can log conversations against the right client) and to send outbound email on that staff member's behalf. Each staff member connects their own mailbox individually; we never access mailboxes that haven't been explicitly connected. Tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and can be revoked at any time from Settings → Disconnect Microsoft 365. Microsoft's handling of mailbox data is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Other Service Providers
We also use SMTP2Go (transactional email delivery), Dompdf (PDF generation, runs locally on our server), and Intuit Payments / Stripe (card processing inside QBO's checkout, if you choose to pay online). These providers process information only as needed to deliver the specific service and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and tax obligations (typically seven years for financial records), and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will honor the request to the extent permitted by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted credentials, restricted access, and secure third-party providers for payments and signatures. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- Access & correction: You may ask us what information we have about you and request that we correct it.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your information, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
- Opt out of marketing: If we ever send marketing emails, every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Third-Party Sites
Our website and emails may contain links to third-party sites (Instagram, vendors, payment portals, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their policies separately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
